Does anyone know what happened to Miss Myrle Kranz?  I had her for mathematics from 1957 - 1960.  Inspired me to become a mathematician.

The Girl's V.P Bertha Standfast told my father to send me to live with relatives in another state when I was in the beginning of my senior year, 1968. I graduated from another high school in Pennsylvania in 1969. A few years ago, I heard of 3 other girls in my class who were sent away to other states.  If you were too, please send me an email. Dear Alumni Association,

 

I’ve recently been provided with information re: my long deceased birth mother, Rebecca Ann Sroufe. It appears that she attended (but did not graduate from) Hollywood High. Becky was born on 22 July 1929 and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 12. Regrettably, I’ve no idea as to what Junior High school she may have attended prior to matriculating to Hollywood High.

 

Given the attenuated period of time that’s elapsed since she was a student back in the early to mid 1940’s, I was wondering if you’d be able to direct me to anyone, who might be in possession to assist my search? I am of course keen to obtain any and all details, year book photos, information re: anything that might enable me to have a more robust portrait of the woman who brought me into the world.

 

I appreciate that this request is something of a ‘bolt from the blue’. However searches of this nature are somehow destined to become an exercise in sleuthing. In the spirit of ‘no stone left unturned’, I’m now turning to you in the hope that this particular avenue, may lead to something worthwhile.
