In Loving Remembrance of John Henry Ellis Class of 1933

Born 15 July, 1915 in Washington, D. C.; passed away 23 December, 2011 in Carmichael, CA. age 9

6 years. Beloved husband of the late Carol Weiskopf ( HHSC 1932). Father of Margaret Ellis Hill of Fair Oaks, CA, John F. Ellis (Claudia) and David Ellis (Barbara) of North Carolina. He is survived by 14 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by his parents, John A and Margaret M von Herrmann Ellis, his son in law, James Hill and grandson, Brian Ellis. Graduate of Hollywood High School (1933), Mount St. Mary's College (1954) in Los Angeles, CA. A concert and opera baritone, he was a high school teacher (Mayfield in Pasadena, Marymount in Los Angeles), college professor, drama and voice coach, founder (1945) and director of the Burbank, C

A Civic Light Opera Chorus, and in retirement, founder and director of the Pro Musica Singers of Sayre, PA and the Atria Singers at El Camino Gardens, Carmichael CA. Greatly loved by all who knew him, he touched so many lives with his gift of music. At his request, no services will be held. Funeral arrangements by Lind Bros. Morturary, Carmichael, CA. Burial to be in Congressional Cemetery, Washington, D. C. Remembrances may be made to the charity of one's choice.
